Here Is An Easy To Understand Guide On How Google Ranks Web Pages

Most people involved in Search Engine Optimization hold the following information carefully guarded. They rarely reveal the "secret sauce" ingredients of SEO to the general public. Globalization Automation operates on a different level, we firmly believe that we all live in an abundant world where knowledge should be freely exchanged for the betterment of all. With that said we're going to shed our "corporate hat" for a bit and speak to you on a simplistic format where you can learn how SEO really works.

Let's start with an example

In every high school across America, once a year the school decides on a senior high school prom king and queen. But how are these lucky winners chosen #1? In most schools it's simply based on their popularity. The more people they know the more likely they are to win.

Well surprisingly enough, Google ranks web pages in a similar manner. The more people that know you online, the higher your rank goes on Google. The way you get online friends is by having them give you a backlink to your website. A backlink is the blue underlined text that you click on to go to a link. Here is an example backlink to one of our online friends: Fox Direct. That backlink tells Google that we're friends with FoxDirect.com and in turn, makes them more popular.

The second part of being #1 online is what your website visitors think when they get to your site. If your website looks great and provides useful content, then they'll likely buy your product or service.

But how does Google rank my specific webpage for a specific keyword?

Because your online friends all have a link to your website, they all say something about you in that link. Whatever they say about you is what Google thinks your website is about! If you wanted to be #1 on Google for the term CNA Training then you would tell all your friends to link to you like this: CNA Training. Once you got a few friends to link to you, Google would then rank your site for that healthcare related keyword. As more friends link to you, Google in turn increases your rank.

Is it really that simple?

The short answer is yes. Although, you should know there are hundreds of individual factors that go into Google's proprietary ranking system, the absolute most important one has just been shared with you. In short, If you have lots of friends, you have lots of online popularity and in turn have high rankings!
